Dia De Muertos – 1st November
On Thursday, Mexico came to Knighton House. During our Spanish lessons Alpha and A2 celebrated DIA DE MUERTOS, Day of the Dead.
The girls learnt new vocabulary related to Dia de Muertos and learnt about why it is celebrated: it is the time to celebrate and remember the good times you shared with your loved ones when they were alive.
The girls also decorated calaveritas de azúcar (sugar skulls) and watched scenes and songs from the movie “Coco”. In our next few lessons we are going to talk about the movie and describe the characters in Spanish.
