A big thank you to Sharon from the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) who came to speak to the girls in assembly today about ‘Speak out. Stay Safe.’
With the help from Buddy, the NSPCC mascot, and a metaphorical bag of worries the girls identified common concerns that children their age might face as well as learning about the different types of abuse, so they can get help if or when they need it. Sharon helped them identify a trusted adult they can talk to if they’re ever worried about themselves or a friend. They also learnt about Childline, and how it can support them.
